Our story
Q TRADE was founded in 2017 by the Beskas family in Glyki, Thesprotia, a village at the source of the Acheron River.
We chose kumquat for its particularly distinctive taste and nutritional value and created the Q VALLEY traditional product line, aiming for foreign and domestic markets.
Today, in the 2.7 hectares that the company owns, 3000 kumquat trees are getting cultivated, certified as organic by TÜV Austria Hellas.
The geographical location of the estate and the mild climate of the area create the right conditions for kumquats to thrive and prosper.
The production is available as fresh fruit, processed in a traditional handmade way as marmalade, chutney & spoon sweet, according to the certified ISO 22000 management system, for food safety.
More in particular, the company aims to produce organic fresh kumquats (BIO), process them, package them and distribute them in Greece but mainly abroad, investing in innovative technologies for this purpose.

GOAL
Our near future goal is to create a series of products (marmalades,liquors, preserves etc.) and to set up processing installations, offering employment to the locals of the village Glyki in the process.
Our further goals include promoting the land and its products through agro tourism, the utilization and promotion of the local natural and cultural elements and the development of alternative forms of tourism (hiking, etc.).
